History

Deseta gimnazija “Mihajlo Pupin” was founded by decree of King Alexander I on April 6, 1933 as an all-boys Grammar School with boarding facilities.

The task of the school is to educate young people i.e. the students of King Alexander I's all-boys grammar school in Belgrade and provide them with an excellent all-round education, applying the best teaching methods and developing a healthy and strong Yugoslav national sentiment in them

Deseta gimnazija began its work on October 1, 1933 as an independent educational institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The first principal of the school was Mirko Balubdžić. At the beginning of the school year, there were 119 students. The first generation of students graduated in 1938.
